Equity, Inclusion, and Program Scope
Symbiosis Academy welcomes students and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, family structure, learning profile, or socioeconomic status in admissions, educational policies, or school-administered programs.
As a holistic, mindful learning community, we are committed to cultivating an environment rooted in mutual respect, restorative practices, and belonging. We strive to create a space where each child is respected, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.
While we support a wide range of learners — including students who may not have thrived in traditional school settings — Symbiosis Academy is not a therapeutic or clinical program. We do not provide behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, or specialized therapeutic services. Our staffing model and resources are designed for a collaborative, community-based educational setting, and we may not be equipped to support students whose needs require intensive behavioral, clinical, or therapeutic interventions.
We partner closely with families to ensure that Symbiosis is an appropriate placement and that each student can thrive within the structure and support we are able to provide.

We Offer
-
Symbiosis Academy’s model is an alternative to traditional school. Students who may not thrive within the traditional model can learn in an environment that is shaped by their learning style, pace, and needs. By redefining the concept of ‘school,’ Symbiosis Academy’s mission is to create a space that is holistic, nurturing, and noncompetitive. Students who complete their high school requirements earn a diploma and are guided through the college application and transition process.
-
We follow the Massachusetts core curriculum requirements for grades K-12 in a mindful, nurturing, and holistic way that honors how the student learns best.
-
We offer dual enrollment opportunities at local colleges and universities for students to earn high school and college credits.
-
Other activities include Cooking & Nutrition, Ceramics, Yoga, Dungeons and Dragons, Field Trips, Community Service Opportunities, Life Skills, Financial Literacy, Therapy Dog Visits, and much more!
The adventure of life is to learn. The purpose of life is to grow.
The nature of life is to change."
