Hi! My name is Therese, and I am a senior in high school and a Teacher’s Aide at Symbiosis. Working here—especially supporting math learning—has been an amazing experience. As a student with dyslexia, school and math were very difficult for me, and I often felt confused or left out. That is a feeling I never want any child to experience, and I’m so grateful to help create a classroom environment where students feel confident, supported, and safe. The kids at Symbiosis are incredible, and I love getting to know each one. I’m definitely a girly girl—I love making bracelets, having tea parties, and designing clothes for stuffed animals—but I also grew up with four brothers, so playing Legos and jumping into the gaga ball pit is just as fun. Symbiosis has truly made my last year of high school unforgettable.
